
Men's Tennis Takes on Notre Dame Saturday

Cards and Irish face off in an ACC matchup Saturday at 2 p.m.
The University of Louisville men's tennis team will continue its 14-match home stand when the Cardinals play host to Notre Dame in an ACC matchup Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center. Admission is free.

"The Notre Dame versus Louisville match has been historically a great match," said UofL head coach Rex Ecarma. "Some of the best matches that I have been a part of in my 27-year coaching career has been against the Fighting Irish. One of the highest quality singles matches that I have ever seen was the 2015 Stiefelmeyer vs Monaghan match. I respect their coaching staff and program a lot and expect another classic on Saturday."

Louisville (10-3, 1-1 ACC) is currently on a six-match win streak dating back to Feb. 14. The Cards stand at No. 44 in the most recent Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) rankings. UofL has tallied a 9-1 record at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center this season with their only loss coming at the hands of No. 1 Virginia.

Freshman Parker Wynn (North Richland, Texas) carries a team-best 26-8 overall singles record and is 10-2 in dual matches playing mostly at No. 2 while sophomore Christopher Morin-Kougoucheff (Capbreton, France) has a 16-8 singles tally and is 5-3 at No. 1.

In doubles, Wynn and senior Sean Donohue (Louisville, Ky.) have teamed to lead the Cards with a 15-1 overall record and a 9-1 mark at No. 1. The duo stands at No. 65 in the ITA doubles rankings. Donohue leads the team with a 22-4 overall doubles record.
