UofL stars win USA Swimming's highest honors
University of Louisville swimmers Mallory Comerford and Kelsi Worrell Dahlia were awarded Golden Goggles Honors, the highest honors bestowed by USA Swimming.
Mallory Comerford was named Breakout Swimmer of the Year and Kelsi Worrell Dahlia won for her world record relay performance. Â
Kelsi Worrell Dahlia and teammates Lily King, Kathleen Baker, and Simone Manuel were awarded the Golden Goggles for Relay Performance of the Year honors after winning gold and setting a world record in the women's 4x100m medley relay at the FINA World Championships.
In her long-course World Championships debut, Breakout Performer of the Year honoree Mallory Comerford was a star for Team USA at the 2017 FINA World Championships with five relay gold medals – 4x100m medley, 4x100m freestyle, 4x200m freestyle, mixed 4x100m medley and mixed 4x100m freestyle.
