Men's Tennis Closes Bobby Bayliss Invitational with Three Wins

Brandon Lancaster and Ciro Lampasas win in singles and doubles

The University of Louisville men's tennis team registered three wins on the final day of the Bayliss Invitational Sunday at Notre Dame's Eck Tennis Pavilion.

"Everyone showed improvements today on what we have been working on this weekend," said UofL assistant coach Jakob Gustafsson. "Ciro got better and better today and I think his next tournament could be a break out one."

The day started with a doubles win from senior Ciro Lampasas and junior Brandon Lancaster who defeated Indiana's Afonso Salgado and Pavam Ahmadi 6-1.

Lampasas and Lancaster also picked up singles wins on the final day of the tournament. Lampasas topped Western Michigan's Matej Svjeclicic 4-6, 6-3, 10-1 and Lancaster defeated Notre Dame's Paul Gota 7-6, 7-5.

The Cardinals return to action next weekend when they host the Louisville Fall Invitational.
