Lacrosse Ranked No. 18 in IWLCA Preseason Poll

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The University of Louisville women's lacrosse team will begin the 2017 campaign ranked No. 18 in the country in the IWLCA Division I Preseason Poll. The ACC leads all conferences with seven of their eight members landing in the pre-season top 20.

The road ahead for the Cardinals is not easy as Louisville will face seven of the country's top 20 in the regular season. The Cardinals will host the defending national champions at the UofL Lacrosse Stadium in April.

Louisville's 2017 season will see the Cardinals travel to preseason No. 8 Notre Dame to kick off the ACC schedule. Louisville will then return home to host preseason No. 10 Duke. The Cards will then travel to No. 17 Boston College. They will also travel to No. 9 Northwestern and N. 14 Virginia while hosting No. 1 North Carolina and No. 5 Syracuse.

The 2017 season will commence for Louisville with the home opener on Feb. 4 against Vermont at 1:00 p.m.
