Lacrosse Summer Spotlight

Throughout the summer, GoCards.com will be catching up with members of the Louisville lacrosse team. Today's installment features junior Jillian Balog.

What is your favorite thing about summer vacation?
Being able to spend time with my friends and family and relaxing.

If you could go anywhere on vacation, where would it be and why?
Greece! My family has been wanting to go for such a long time so I'm hoping that time comes soon.

What is your favorite vacation memory?
One year, we spent a week in the Outer Banks with friends and it was one of my favorite vacation's I've ever been on.

What have you been doing so far this summer?
I started a summer class earlier in July so I have been focusing on that for now. I was also coaching a summer club lacrosse team which was a lot of fun as well!

Best Memory at Louisville so far in your career?
Beating Boston College, Northwestern AND Notre Dame all at our home field!

What is your goal for the upcoming season?
Winning a lot of games of course and getting some revenge against some of the teams we lost to last year.

Favorite thing to do in Louisville?
Find new restaurants to try. I never knew Louisville was so highly known for their food so it is fun to go find new spots with my classmates!

What is your favorite thing about the sport of lacrosse?
Being able to compete and play the sport you love with your best friends every day.
