Lacrosse Summer Spotlight

Throughout the summer, GoCards.com will be catching up with members of the Louisville lacrosse team. The second installment features senior defender Stephanie McNamara.

What is your favorite thing about summer vacation?
I love going back to Australia to see my family and friends.

If you could go anywhere on vacation, where would it be and why?
I really want to go to Stockholm in the winter so I could go skiing.

What is your favorite vacation memory?
When I lived in England, we went to Belgium for a weekend and it was beautiful and the food was unreal.

What have you been doing so far this summer?
I went home to play in an Australian lacrosse camp, I also have an internship this summer at Louisville magazine, other than that I've just been hanging out with friends and working out.

Best Memory at Louisville so far in your career?
oooooooo a tough one, I think it would be beating Ohio State in double overtime first round of the NCAA tournament my freshmen year or beating Northwestern and Notre Dame back-to-back at home my junior year and being ranked in the top 5.

What is your goal for the upcoming season?
To continue to get better and for the team to reach our full potential.

Favorite thing to do in Louisville?
Eat, haha! And play lacrosse and hang with my friends of course.

What is your favorite thing about the sport of lacrosse?
There are no limits, it's the fastest game on two feet and it suits every kind of athlete.
