Today we catch up with senior Heidi Smith
Throughout the summer, GoCards.com will be catching up with members of the Louisville lacrosse team. The first installment features senior midfielder Heidi Smith.Â
What is your favorite thing about summer vacation?
My favorite thing is spending time with family and my pets.
If you could go anywhere on vacation, where would it be and why?
If I could go anywhere I would go to the beach!
What is your favorite vacation memory?
I'm not sure it's my absolute favorite vacation memory – but when I was younger we used to visit my family in Maine and we would go crab fishing with leftover KFC and I just remember it was so much fun.
What have you been doing so far this summer?
I have been studying for the MCAT at home while working out and riding my horses. Now I am just lifeguarding and enjoying being in Louisville.
Best Memory at Louisville so far in your career?
My best memory in Louisville in my career is winning the BIG EAST championship and beating Notre Dame in double overtime this past year.
What is your goal for the upcoming season?
My goal is to strive to be the best captain, teammate, and player that I can be to go further than I ever have in the NCAA tournament.
Favorite thing to do in Louisville?
My favorite thing is definitely trying new food places.
What is your favorite thing about the sport of lacrosse?
My favorite thing is the feeling of accomplishment you get and the adrenaline rush.
