Hedley posted three singles wins in LTA British Tennis Association Aegon British Tour Connaugh
The University of Louisville's George Hedley advanced to the semifinals of the LTA British Tennis Association Aegon British Tour Connaught last week in Essex, England.
"This is an impressive result for George in a high-level tournament," said UofL head coach Rex Ecarma.
Hedley, a rising sophomore from Berkshire, England, picked up three straight singles wins in the 32-player draw before falling 6-7, 7-5, 10-7 in the semifinals.
"George is really focused and getting ready for his sophomore year at Louisville and is working diligently on that," said Ecarma. "One of the players he defeated, Joe Salisbury, has a win over Cardinal legend, Sebastian Stiefelmeyer. George is a player that likes to compete and his future is bright for us."
