Daley, Gerding and Morissette Named to the IWLCA All-Star Roster

Three Cardinals were selected to the South All-Star Team
LOUISVILLE, KY. --- The IWLCA has announced the rosters for the 2016 North/South Senior All-Star games for Division I, II, and III. Louisville seniors Cortnee Daley, Kelli Gerding and Kaylin Morissette were named to the South team.

Daley ranked second on the team with 50 points, scoring 40 goals and 10 assists.  She also led the team in caused turnovers with 20 and ranks second on the team in ground balls with 32. Daley has tallied eight hat tricks this season, including three game-winning goals. For her career, Daley scored 154 goals and dished out 23 assists. She finished the year earning second team All-ACC honors and first team IWLCA All-Region honors.Â
Gerding finished her final season with the Cardinals ranked third on the team in points with 49. She led the Cardinals with 23 assists while scoring 26 goals. She finished the year with two game-winning goals. Including the game-winner against Notre Dame in overtime. She finished the year with four hat tricks. For her career, Gerding finished with 36 assists and 29 goals for 75 points.Â
A 2016 IWLCA All-American, Morissette wrapped up her senior campaign as the all-time draw controls leader with 572 and ranks second in the nation in draw controls with 8.56 per game. The first team All-ACC selection led the Cardinals this season 56 points, scoring 37 goals and adding 19 assists. She also led the team in ground balls with 36 on the year. Morissette has scored seven hat tricks this season and scored two game-winning goals for the Cardinals.
The Senior All-Star games will take place at Cabrini College on Saturday, June 4, 2016. The Division I teams will play the first game at 11:30 am, the Division II game will follow at 12:45 pm, and the Division III teams will cap off the event with their game at 2:00 pm. Admission for all three games is free of charge.
