Morisette becomes the first three time All-American for the Cardinals
LOUISVILLE, KY. -- Louisville's Kaylin Morissette was one of 48 student-athletes to the IWLCA Division I All-American teams for 2016.  Morissette was named a first team All-American for the second straight year. She finishes her career with the Cardinals as the first player in program history to become a three time All-American. She earned second team honors in 2014 as a sophomore.Â
"This is a wonderful honor to end a storied career," said head coach Kellie Young. "I am very proud of Kay and thankful for all she contributed to Louisville lacrosse."
Morissette wrapped up her senior campaign as the all-time draw controls leader with 572 and ranks second in the nation in draw controls with 8.56 per game. The first team All-ACC selection led the Cardinals this season 56 points, scoring 37 goals and adding 19 assists. She also led the team in ground balls with 36 on the year. Morissette has scored seven hat tricks this season and scored two game-winning goals for the Cardinals.
The IWLCA will honor these student-athletes at the IWLCA All-American Banquet on Saturday June 4, 2016 at the Radisson Hotel Valley Forge in King of Prussia, PA.
