
Men's Golf Places Sixth at Boilermaker Invitational

Robin Sciot-Siegrist posts another top 10 finish.
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -Â Louisville senior Robin Sciot-Siegrist fired a 1-under par 71 on Sunday in the final round of the Boilermaker Invitational and led the Cardinals to a sixth-place finish in West Lafayette, Ind., in the final regular-season tournament of the season.
Sciot-Siegrist finished in a tie for eighth-place at the diffcult Kampen Course. The senior shot a 2-under par 72-73-71=214 to finish just seven shots off the lead.Â
Collectively, the Cardinals finished in sixth place after shooting an 18-over par 288-295-299=882 for the two-day tournament. Illinois won the tournament by shooting 17-under par 847, while host Purdue was second after shooting 854. Â Northwestern was in third place and Kent State was fourth.
Simon Zach was tied for 15th-place after he shot an even par 70-72-74=216, while Keegan de Lange was tied for 35th place after he carded a 6-over 72-76-74=222. J.D. Lehman was tied for 70th overall when he finished at 16-over par and Patrick Frodigh was 19-over par to place in a tied for 76th.
The Cardinals will compete in their second ACC Tournament on April 22-24 at the Sedgefield Country Club in London, N.C.
Sciot-Siegrist, an ACC champion a year ago, will look to defend his title at the three-day event.
