Lacrosse Signs Mary Rose Hitt

University of Louisville women's lacrosse coach Kellie Young announced that Mary Rose Hitt has signed with the Cardinals. Hitt is a goalkeeper from Sacred Heart Academy in Louisville.

"We are thrilled that Mary Rose will be joining the Louisville Lacrosse family," said Young. "We have watched her grow into a talented keeper and look forward to her progress throughout her college career."

Hitt earned Brine All-American honors after her freshman season. She also served as the goalie at the National Lacrosse Classic in 2013. She sat out her sophomore year to recover from an ACL injury.

She returned her junior year and compiled a 2.80 goals against average along with 90 saves and one shutout. She was also named to the Kentucky All-Tournament team after finishing the season with a 10-0 record. She is currently in her senior season and has compiled a 6.10 goals against average and 45 saves in five games.

The addition of Hitt adds to the impressive nine-member 2016 University of Louisville lacrosse signing class.
