
Track and Field Set to Begin Outdoor Season at the USF Bulls Invitational

Cardinals travel to Tampa to begin 2016 outdoor schedule

Date: March 17-18, 2016
Site: USF Track and Field Stadium | Tampa, Fla.
Start Times: 12 p.m. Thursday | 9 a.m. Friday
This Week: The Louisville men's and women's track and field teams begin their outdoor season as they travel to the Sunshine State to compete in the USF Bulls Invitational March 17-18.
The two-day event begins on Thursday with the day consisting of primarily field events as the events begin at noon with the women's hammer throw followed by the men's hammer throw. Running events are slated to begin at 7 p.m. with the women's 5000m followed the men's 5000m.
Friday features a larger schedule of competition with field events slated to begin at 9 a.m. with the men's javelin throw and Running events scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. with the women's 4 x 100m relay.
The Cardinals will compete against 25 other programs included Florida State, Florida Southern, Grand Valley, Manhattan, Princeton, Rutgers, South Florida, and Tampa.
About the Cardinals: Louisville returns five All-Americans from the 2015 outdoor season. The Cardinal's inaugural season in the ACC was highlighted by five outdoor event titles. In all, 15 athletes earned All-ACC honors and 14 outdoor school records were broken.
Up Next: The Cardinal will travel to Raleigh, N.C. to compete in the Raleigh Relays on March 24-25.
