Tarasevich Named National Swimmer of the Week

Collegeswimming.com has named University of Louisville swimmer Grigory Tarasevich National Swimmer of the Week for his role in assisting the No. 11 ranked Cardinals to a win over No. 20 ranked ACC foe North Carolina.

He won the 200-back with an NCAA B-cut time of 1:40.32. He made it a backstroke sweep with a win in the 100-breast with a pool record, B-cut time of 45.82. He also helped to win four relays.

The 200-free relay 'A' team of Trevor Carroll (20.51), David Boland (20.14), Grigory Tarasevich (20.07), and Andrej Barna (20.28) posted a time of 1:21.00.

In the men's 400-free relay, Louisville's 'A' squad finished first with Tarasevich (47.51), Claverie (53.89), Josh Quallen (47.42), and Matthias Lindenbauer(43.97) ending with 3:13.09

The 200-medley relay 'A' team of Grigory Tarasevich (22.40), Carlos Claverie(24.68), David Boland (21.16), and Trevor Carroll (19.67) finished with a time of 1:27.91.

The men's 400-free relay 'A' team of Matthias Lindenbauer (44.91), Trevor Carroll (44.03), Grigory Tarasevich (43.13), and Andrej Barna(44.30) finished with a total time of 2:56.37.
