November 10, 2016 | Rowing
Event set for 11 a.m., to 3 p.m., ET at G. Garvin Brown III Rowing Center
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville rowing program will host a Junior Day for prospective student-athletes on Saturday, Dec. 3 from 11 a.m., to 3 p.m., ET at the G. Garvin Brown III Rowing Center.
The event will allow prospective student-athletes to meet the Louisville coaches and support staff, visit with current members of the team and tour the state-of-art rowing facilities and the UofL campus. The Junior Day will also allow prospective student-athletes to learn what is required to row for Louisville. Anyone interested in attending the open event should RSVP to Louisville assistant coach Hannah Ritter at HannahR@GoCards.com by Nov. 28.
"The coaching staff at UofL knows how important it is for high-school athletes to learn the recruiting process and how essential it is to really understand the teams they're interested in. Our goal is to create a day where we share everything we can about Louisville rowing with any athlete who feels a fit with the program," Ritter said. "Every prospective student-athlete will talk with multiple members of the rowing support staff, learn about the university and degree paths, talk to current athletes as well as the coaches and be informed what their next steps are. By the end of the day, we hope everyone present will have a very good idea whether or not Louisville rowing is a place they can see themselves."
