Zach Posts Top-25 Finish, Louisville Men’s Golf Takes Ninth at Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate

Sophomore Simon Zach shot a 2-under-par 70 on the final day

Sophomore Simon Zach shot a 1-under-par 215 to pace the University of Louisville men's golf team to a ninth place finish at the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate at the Blackthorn Club on Sunday.

Zach fired a 2-under par 70 in the third round and totaled a 54-hole score of 215 (72-73-70) and finished the tournament with 13 birdies.

Collectively, the Cardinals scored a 299 on the final day to finish ninth with a 1-over-par total of 865 for the tournament. Virginia captured the tournament title with a 35-under-par 829 to finish 12 strokes ahead of runner-up Missouri. Kent State rounded out the top three teams with a score of 849.

Freshman Devin Morley registered a 3-over-par 219 (68-77-74) to tie for 38^th in the 84-player field.

Juniors Erik Dulik and Nicolas Platret each shot a 4-over-par 220 to tie for 44^th while sophomore Keegan de Lange carded a 6-over-par 222 to finish tied for 57^th.

The Cardinals will return to action October 30 – November 1 when they travel to Kauai, Hawaii for the Warrior Wave Invitational.
