
Morley Leads Men’s Golf on Day One of Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate

Freshman Devin Morley carded a 4-under-par 68 to help the University of Louisville men's golf team to a tie for fifth place through one round of play at the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate Tournament Friday at the Blackthorn Club (par 72, 7147 yards).
Missouri holds the overall lead with an 11-under-par 277 while UNC Wilmington follows closely at 278. Virginia stands third at 280 and host East Tennessee State is in fourth with 284. The Cardinals are tied with VCU in fifth with a score of 5-under-par score of 283.
Morley, who is tied for sixth, got off to an impressive start shooting 3-under-par on the front nine. The rookie went on to register seven birdies on the day – tied for the second highest total in the 84 player field.
Sophomore Keegan de Lange stands tied for 10th after firing a 3-under-par score of 69 after starting the day 3-under-par on the front nine and finishing even on the back nine.
Sophomore Simon Zach shot an even-par 72 and is tied for 30th while juniors Erik Dulik and Nicolas Platret are tied for 47th with a score of 86.
The Cardinals will return to action for the second round on Saturday, teeing off at 11:30 a.m. with Tennessee and Virginia Tech.
