Maintaining its record of strong performances off the field, the University of Louisville women's lacrosse team was recognized by the Intercollegiate Women's lacrosse Coaches Association as an IWLCA Division I Academic Squad, the Colorado-based organization announced on Monday.
Louisville, which has earned the award for the fifth-straight year, was one of five ACC squads that qualified for the honor. In order to earn the distinction, schools are required to have a cumulative team grade-point average of 3.0 or higher.
