Louisville, Ky. -- Louisville Lacrosse got the experience of a lifetime as they traveled overseas to the beautiful country of Italy! Bouncing all around from Lake Como, Milan, Cinque Terre, Rome, Pisa, Capri Island and even Switzerland, the Louisville Lacrosse team had an exciting time seeing new sights and having the wonderful opportunity to grow the game of lacrosse. We invite you to follow along on our blog as members of the team share with you stories, pictures, and memories of the trip they will never forget.
DAY 1: ARRIVAL AND LAKE COMO
The team first started the journey by meeting at John F. Kennedy International Airport, where we would await our seven hour plane ride with Alitalia. Once we landed our excitement hit and we met our tour guide and our bus driver for Nicola.
We traveled right away to beautiful Lake Como where we were able to view breathtaking sites. Unfortunately, George Clooney was not in town but the team was still able to admire the gorgeous architecture of many other villas, buildings, and churches. Some members of the team took a cable car ride up to the top mountain where the views were picture perfect.
Then started a long but gorgeous climb down the mountain. We explored the local area and kick started our taste buds while doing some excellent shopping. Overall, it was an amazing first day!
