
Kaylin Morissette Named a First Team IWLCA All-American

On Monday, the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association named Kaylin Morissette a first team All-American. Morissette becomes just the second player in program history to achieve the feat.
"I am incredibly proud of Kay for being named a first team All-American," said head coach Kellie Young. "It is an honor for both Kay and the players that surround her on a daily basis. I am equally as thrilled that she still has a year left to play and I am excited for what's to come."
Morissette wrapped up her junior campaign as the all-time draw controls leader with 393 and ranks second in the nation in draw controls this season with 10.17 per game. She led the team with 62 points, scoring 44 goals and dishing out 18 assists.
The first team All-ACC selection and has registered seven hat tricks and led the team in assists this season. She finished her first season in the ACC ranked in the top 11 of goals, goals per game, points and draw controls. She was also a first team Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Association All-West Region selection.
The IWLCA will honor the National All-Americans at the IWLCA All-American banquet on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at the Radisson Hotel Valley Forge in King Prussia, Pa.
