
Kaylin Morissette Earns First Team All-ACC Honors

Louisville, Ky. - Louisville junior Kaylin Morissette was named to the 2015 All-Atlantic Coast Conference Women's Lacrosse Team, as announced today by Commissioner John Swofford. Morissette earned first team all-conference honors for the second straight year and all-conference honors for the third straight year.
Morissette is on the Tewaaraton Watch List and leads the team with 55 points so far this season. She also leads the team with 14 assists and ranks fourth on the team in goals with 41. She broke the school record for draw controls this season and currently has a career total of 403. She leads the team with 168 draw controls, ranking second in the nation in draw controls, averaging 10.50 per game.
The 2015 All-ACC Women's Lacrosse Team, voted on by the league's eight head coaches, features nine of the ACC's 10 leading scorers, including conference leader Fortunato of Notre Dame (4.38 points per game), and Boston College's Stanwick (4.12) and Virginia's Bocklet (4.0). Louisville's Morissette leads in draw controls (10.5 per game), while Duke goalkeeper Duryea owns the ACC's lowest goals-against average (7.08).
The ACC Women's Lacrosse Championship gets underway on Thursday, April 23 at Virginia's Klockner Stadium, with all eight teams in quarterfinal action beginning at 11 a.m. Thursday's winners will meet in the semifinals on Friday, April 24 at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., and the ACC Championship title game is set for Sunday, April 26 at 1 p.m. All seven games of the tournament will be televised on the ACC's Regional Sports Networks (RSN) and will also be available on ESPN3.
