
Cards Post Second-Place Finish at Purdue

West Lafayette, Ind. - The University of Louisville men's men's golf team took home second place at the 2015 Boilermaker Invite held at Kampen Course in West Lafayette, Ind., on Sunday.
As a team, the Cardinals logged 3-under par for the two days, finishing second behind champion Illinois. Played in rainy weather conditions, the Cardinals shot 300 as a team to fall behind by 32 strokes. Louisville shot 180-281-300=861.
Illinois' Thomas Detry and Charlie Danielson tied for first individually in the tournament, while Louisville'a Robin Sciot-Siegrist topped out as the Cardinals' best-player with his fifth-place finish. Sciot-Siegrist closed the tournament with a 68-67-77=212.
The Cardinals had two other golfers in the top 15 in Antoine LeSaux and J.D. Lehman. LeSaux finished 11th with an even-par 216, while Lehman was tied for 12th with a 1-over par 217.
Max Walz tied for 26th after carding a 4-over par 220 and Gus Lundquist was tied for 51st with his 12-over par 228.
The Cardinals were one of 15 teams in the tournament field, joining Illinois, Ohio State, Cincinnati, Northwestern, Kent State, Miami-Ohio, Indiana, Ball State, Northern Illinois, Toledo, Wisconsin, Georgia Regents and Southern Illinois.
