
Cardinals Stand in Second Place at Boilermaker Invitational

West Lafayette, Ind. - The University of Louisville men's golf got off to a fast start at the 2015 Boilermaker Invitational on Saturday and are in second place after 36 holes. The Cardinals head into the final round of play trailing by 17 shots on the par-72 Kampen Course in West Lafayette, Ind.
Junior Charlie Danielson of Illinois (-12) sits tops in the tournament through two rounds as he holds a three-stroke lead heading into Sunday. Three Cardinals stand in the top 10 after the first two rounds led by Robin Sciot-Siegrist, who is in second place just three shots off the lead. Sciot-Siegrist fired 68-67=135, which is 9-under par.
Antoine LeSaux and Max Walz are tied for 10th place after shooting 141. Walz shot 68-73=141, while LeSaux carded 71-70=141 on the day.
J.D. Lehman ia tied for 21st after shooting 74-71=145, while Gus Lundquist is tied for 59th after firing 73-79=152.
The final round will be played Sunday, beginning with a 7:45 a.m. shotgun start. The Cardinals are one of 15 teams in the tournament field, joining Purdue, Ohio State, Cincinnati, Northwestern, Kent State, Miami-Ohio, Indiana, Ball State, Northern Illinois, Toledo, Wisconsin, Illinois, Georgia Regents and Southern Illinois.
