The University of Louisville women's lacrosse program is playing host to a pair of camps this summer at the UofL Lacrosse Stadium.
The first of the two sessions, Louisville's elite camp runs from June 23-26, is open to rising sixth graders to graduating high school seniors. Throughout the four days, campers will take part in five-skill sessions and tournament-style play. Each participant will be placed on a team that competes throughout the camp, culminating with a championship game on the final day of camp.
For the elite camp, participants have an overnight option in which they will stay at Miller Hall on UofL's campus. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided while day campers will be provided lunch and dinner only.
The development camp runs from July 6-10 from 9 a.m. to noon and is open to rising kindergartners through eighth graders. Players will be grouped by skill level. The camp is specifically designed for those who are new to the sport, with the goal of building a solid lacrosse foundation in a friendly atmosphere.
The camps will be instructed by the championship Louisville coaching staff, head coach Kellie Young and assistants Crysti Foote and Victoria Latino.
