LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville women's golf team produced one of its lowest round scores of the year, compiling a 3-under-par to finish third in the standings on Wednesday at the Anuenue Spring Break Classic in Kapalua, Maui.
Louisville's collective third-round 285 was the second best overall score of the tournament and it allowed the Cardinals to secure their sixth top-five finish this season. Louisville recorded the best par-4 score of the tournament (4.11) and the most pars (185) at The Bay Course.
Individually, Katie Petrino tied her season-best round by shooting a 1-under-par 71. Behind one birdie and an eagle on a par-5, the senior notched her third top-10 finish with a sixth-place showing. She was one of just seven players to register an eagle in the three-day event.
Laura Restrepo also earned a top-10 finish following her best round of the tournament. The junior matched Petrino, carding a 1-under-par 71 to tie for ninth and capture her fourth top-10 finish this year.
The Cardinals' Katie Mitchell and Louise Oxner tied for 19th. Mitchell made one of the biggest moves on the individual leaderboard, rising 10 spots in the standings after firing a 2-under-par 70.
Louisville returns to action next week for its final tournament before postseason play, participating in the Bryan National Collegiate in Greensboro, N.C. The three-day event begins on April 3 and takes place at Bryan Park Golf Course.
