
Cards Soaring Against Tough Field at Seminole Intercollegiate

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -
Playing in one of the most difficult fields to date, the University of Louisville's men's golf team stands in second place Friday after the first round of the Seminole Intercollegiate played on the Southwood Golf Course in Tallahassee, Fla.
The field features four top-10 teams and seven teams ranked in the top 40. Louisville fired a 7-under par 281, sitting five shots behind East Tennessee State, who shot 12-under par. Mercer is on third place at 6-under par and Florida State and James Madison are tied for fourth at 4-under par.
Robert Geibel, who got off to a slow start last week at the John Hayt Invitational, is tied for sixth place after shooting a 3-under par 69, which is six shots off the lead. Robin Sciot-Siegist is also tied for sixth after he fired a 3-under par 69.
Gus Lundquist is tied for 15th after carding a 2-under par 70 on Friday, while J.D. Lehman is tied for 45th after shooting a 1-over par 73. Max Walz is tied for 64th after he shot a 3-over par.
The Cardinals will tee off at 10:10 Saturday morning on the first hole with East Tennessee and Mercer.
