Simich Named Outstanding December 2015 Graduate for the Department of Economics

2015 senior Chris Simich earns graduation honor
Former University of Louisville men's tennis player Chris Simich has been named the Outstanding December 2015 Graduate for the Department of Economics.
Simich, a native of Auckland, New Zealand, played for the Cardinals from 2011-15. The four-year starter finished his career tied for fifth on Louisville's all-time singles wins list with 100. The 2014 American All-Conference Doubles selection was a three-time Intercollegiate Tennis Association Scholar Athlete and was on the Dean's List in each of his semesters at Louisville.
"Chris Simich was a very important player for us," said UofL head coach Rex Ecarma. "He clinched matches, won often and was a role model of what a Cardinal tennis player should be like. His on-court record speaks for itself. He is also an accomplished scholar-athlete culminating in his most recent honor of 'Outstanding Graduate' of the Business School's Department of Economics. With these attributes, you can see how much I enjoyed coaching him. He has a very bright future."
