
Men's Golf Tied for Sixth After First Day at Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate

Robin Sciot-Siegrist tied for third overall
JONESBOROUGH, Tenn. -- Senior Robin Sciot-Siegrist fired a 2-under par 70 to lead the University of Louisville men's golf team to a tie for sixth place after the opening round of the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate at Blackthorn in Jonesborough.
The Cardinals shot a 5-over par 293 to sit in a tie with East Carolina for sixth. Penn State, VCU and Virginia Tech are in a three-way tie for first after a 1-over par in the 15-team tournament.
Sciot-Siegrist sits in a tie for third place after recording four birdies on the round. He scored on No. 7, No. 8, No. 11 and No. 14 to pace the Cardinals. Simon Zach and J.D. Lehman are tied for 32nd-place after shooting 74 on the afternoon. Hugo Esposito is tied for 42nd after carding 3-over par 75 and Patrick Frodigh rounded out the top five with his 4-over par 76.
Louisville will tee off beginning at 11:00 a.m. Saturday along with golfers from Charlotte and Kent State. Frodigh  will get things going at 11 a.m., followed by Esposito (11:10), Lehman (11:20), Zach (11:30) and Sciot-Siegrist (11:40).
Individually, Virginia Tech co-captain Joey Lane and Charlotte's Victor Wiggins are tied for first at 3-under 69, while a group of six golfers are one shot back and two are two strokes behind the leaders.
