
Cards Shoot 19-Under Par to Tie for Third

PRINCEVILLE, Hawaii - The University of Louisville men's golf team fired 19-under par as a team to move into a tie for third place after the second round of the Warrior Princeville Makai Invitational hosted by the University of Hawaii.
The Cardinals led the field by shooting a tournament low 269 to move to within seven shots of Georgia Tech, who leads the tournament at 31-under par. Arizona State is second at 27-under par. The Cardinals made up four shots on the leader and head into the final round within striking distance.
"It was a great effort today," head coach Mark Crabtree said after Tuesday's round. "The team had a nice comeback and put themselves right in the hunt. Robin (Sciot-Siegrist) has been outstanding and looks to be in peak form right now."
Robin Sciot-Siegrist, who was playing as the No. 1 player, moved into second place after firing a second-round score of 65 to sit four shots off the lead. Pepperdine's Frederick Wiedel, who shot an 8-under par on Monday, turned around and shot 9-under par on Tuesday.
Robert Geibel moved into a tie for 17th place after carding a 5-under par 67 after shooting an even par on Monday. Max Walz are tied for 19th place after shooting a 4-under par on Tuesday to move up 15 spots.
Antoine LeSaux carded a 4-under par 69 to move into a tie for 29th place and J.D. Lehman fired a 2-under par 70 to move into a tie for 55th-place.
The third round will begin tomorrow morning at 8:30 a.m. Hawaii-Aleutian Standard Time, 1:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.
