
Lacrosse Inks Nine Standouts for 2015

Louisville, Ky. - University of Louisville head coach Kellie Young has once again managed to ink another impressive University of Louisville lacrosse signing class. On Wednesday, Young announced a star-studded, nine-member 2015 class that is highlighted by multiple two or three-sport athletes who are excelling athletically during their prep careers.
In addition to signing three from New Jersey and two from Florida, Young also brings in student-athletes from Pennsylvania, New York, Virginia, and Kentucky.
The 2015 class consists of New Jersey residents Allison Ferrara (Morristown, N.J.) and Meghan Siverson (Morristown, N.J.), and McKayla Conti (Ocean Township, N.J.), Florida residents Jody Julmice (Plantation, Fla.) and Sarah L'Heureux (Winter Spring, Fla.), Pennsylvania's Alexandra Rich (Lebanon, Pa.), New York's Casey Cummo (Smithtown, N.Y.), Virginia's Elise Koehl (Arlington, Va.) and Louisville native Madeline Beck (Louisville, Ky.).
"We are thrilled to announce our 2015 signing class," said Young. "They will arrive at Louisville as the most talented class to commit to UofL since our inception seven years ago. They are passionate, driven and feisty players who already bleed red for The Ville. They will impact our defense, our midfield and our attack and will continue to push this program forward throughout their athletic careers."
Ferrara had a standout sophomore season, earning team MVP honors and All-League First Team and All-County Third Team honors while being named a Brine All-American. As a junior in 2014, Ferrara was named the team MVP and an All-League and All-County selection after becoming Morristown's record-holder in goals (193), assists (96) and point (289). She also earned a prestigious honor in 2014 by being named an Academic All-American.
Siverson saw great success during her sophomore campaign after being named to the 2013 first team All-League and receiving Morris County Honorable Mention honors. In 2014, she was named as the Morristown defensive MVP after leading her team to an NJA conference championship and the NJ State Sectional Finals. She was also named to the 2014 first team All-League and All-County team.
Conti has collected numerous accolades while at Ocean Township, beginning in her sophomore season. In 2013 she earned third team All-Shore honors from the Asbury Park Press and was named to the All Division Coaches Team. As a junior in 2014, she added to those honors, after earning first team All-Shore honors from the Asbury Park Press and first team All-Shore Conference accolades from the Star Ledger. She was also selected in the top 12 for the NJ North US Lacrosse team while also garnering Brine All-American honors.
While at American Heritage, Julmice has earned multiple honors in both lacrosse and track and field. As a lacrosse athlete, she was named to the first team All-District as well as to the National Team South Florida. She was also selected to the Under Armour All-America Team.
L'Heureux earned multiple athletic honors as an integral member of the lacrosse team. As a sophomore in 2012, she earned All-Conference, First Team, All-Area, and All-County while being named to the Florida High School National Team. In 2014, she was named All-Conference, First Team, All-Area, and All-County as well as to the Florida High School National Team. Lastly, she was honored as a member of the Athletic All American First Team and the Brighthouse Sports Network Girls Lacrosse Player of the Year.
Rich led her team at Cedar Crest in scoring during both her freshman and sophomore seasons. In 2012, she was named a Lancaster-Lebanon Section 1 All-Star, while in both 2013 and 2014 she was named a Section 2 All-Star and Lebanon League All-Star. She was also named to the 2013 Central PA National Team (WDNT), selected to Nike Elite 120, and selected as a qualifier for the 112-player tryout pool for the 2015 U.S. Women's National Under-19 Lacrosse Team.
Cummo has garnered multiple accolades throughout her tenure. As a sophomore in 2013, she was named both a Brine All-American Champion and an All-League athlete. During her junior season she was named a US Lacrosse School Girls Selection. She also earned All-County honors and was named the team's MVP. She has earned a total of 10 varsity letters thus far. She enters her senior lacrosse season after lettering four years in track and three years in both lacrosse and soccer.
Koehl has experienced a successful career at McLean in her first three years. A team captain in 2013, she earned MVP honors and was a member of the first team All-District and the All-Region team. She was also a member of the National High School DC Metro Team in both 2013 and 2014. In club play, Koehl was a captain of the U15 club national team. She is also a talent on the track team, qualifying for districts in 2012 and 2013.
Before transferring to Sacred Heart Academy in Louisville, Ky., Beck was a two-sport athlete at Mill Creek High in Georgia. After being named Player of the Year for Gwinnett County (Atlanta) in both 2013 and 2014, Beck went on to earn All-American honors. As a sophomore, she was named an Under Armour All-American for Team South after leading her team in goals (58), assists (35), draw controls (71), caused turnovers (47) and ground balls (27). The next year, after once again leading her team in goals (66), assists (42), draw controls (74), caused turnovers (46) and ground balls (34), she was named a Brine All-American for Team Georgia.
