LOUISVILLE, Ky. - University of Louisville Baseball fans will enjoy a groundbreaking second screen experience during the 2013 NCAA Men's College World Series. For the first time in history, the Cardinals will use Tagboard to provide users with the ability to interact with one another on multiple social media platforms during an NCAA national championship tournament.
By visiting the new social media hub at http://cardinalathleticfund.com/social, viewers will be able to watch, post, and interact with other fans, staff, and even the Louisville Baseball team across the most popular social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Vine, and Google+. Tagboard provides this unique service by harnessing the power of Louisville's official `L1C4' hashtag. Fans using #L1C4 in their posts on these sites will automatically be incorporated into the social media hub.
In addition to the Tagboard feature, the Cardinals' updated social media hub provides behind the scenes videos through a partnership with `Ptch' and unique content to offer fans the ability to both share and learn about the journey to Omaha through a single web domain.
"We are very excited to offer Louisville's fans a one of a kind online experience thanks to Tagboard," said Director of Social Media for Louisville Athletics, Nick Stover. "It really encourages users to engage and participate in the excitement of this year's College World Series."
The Cardinals' baseball team begins its first game of the NCAA Men's College World Series Saturday, June 15, at 8 p.m. ET when it faces Indiana University.
