Men's Golf Sits in 13th Place at Irish Creek

KANNAPOLIS, NC. - - The Louisville men's golf team fired a 292 in the first round of the Irish Creek Collegiate and 300 in the second round to total 592 and finish 13th overall after two rounds.
North Carolina leads the tournament by four shots over second-place Davidson, while North Carolina State and North Carolina-Wilmington are tied for third at 572.
The Cardinals were led by Antoine Le Saux, who carded a two-over par 71-73=144 to sit in 22nd-place overall after two rounds of play. Max Walz is tied for 41st place after shooting a pair of 74s to total 148.
Robin Sciot-Siegrist, who has been one of the top players for the Cardinals this year, is tied for 51st place after carding 73-77=150. Gus Lundquist and Henry Tomlinson are tied for 66th place after shooting 153.
The last round of the 54-hole event will be played Sunday at The Club at Irish Creek, which features a par 71, 7,099-yard layout. Live scoring is available on Golfstat.com and there will be a 8:30am shotgun start.
