Men's Golf Finishes 13th at Irish Creek

KANNAPOLIS, N.C. - - The University of Louisville men's golf team fired an 8-over 292 on Sunday to finish in 13th place at The Club at Irish Creek, a par-71 layout that covers 7,099 yards.
The Cardinals fired 292-300-292=884, 23 strokes behind North Carolina at +7, who began the day with a four-shot lead after 36 holes on Saturday.
Antoine LeSaux paced the Cardinals, finishing in a tie for 19th place after carding 71-73-73=217. Robin Sciot-Siegrist tied for 32nd overall. He fired an even par 71 on Sunday to move up. He finished the tournament at 73-77-71=221.
Max Walz tied for 47th during the two-day event, shooting 74-74-76=224 and Gus Lundquist tied for 56th with 77-76-72=225. Henry Tomlinson closed out the top five for the Cardinals with 74-79-80=233.
Jimmy Beck of Kennesaw State won the individual title at 8-under 205, holding off Charlotte's Franco Castro, who fired a 6-under 65 on Sunday to finish one shot in back of Beck.
Louisville will compete at the Purdue Invitational on April 20-21.
