Field Hockey Earns NFHCA Academic Honors

The University of Louisville Field Hockey team was named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association National Academic Team Award list. The National Academic Team Award recognizes those institutions that achieve a minimum GPA of 3.0 during the first semester of the 2011-12 academic year.
Additionally, eight players were named to the NFHCA National Academic squad which recognizes student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher through the first semester of the 2011-12 academic year. Earning the award for the fourth-straight year were seniors Heather Stevens and Hayley Turner. Joining them on the squad are: Nikki Barry, Sophie Engelkes, Natasha Leickly, Paige Monsen, Kelsey Rosenmeier and Katlyn Soucy.
