Rowing Opens Spring at Oak Ridge Cardinal Invitational

2012 Oak Ridge Cardinal Invitational Schedule of Events 
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Louisville rowing team will open the 2012 spring season by serving as the host school for the Oak Ridge Cardinal Invitational on Saturday and Sunday in Oak Ridge, Tenn.
The first-year event features 11 schools from various conferences including the BIG EAST, ACC, Conference USA and Big Ten. Each school will compete in three races during the weekend.
"We are thrilled to serve as the official hosts of this regatta," said Louisville head coach Laura Aubrey. "Oak Ridge is a phenomenal venue and we are excited with the number of schools we have participating. This is the first race of the season for us and we approach it with a great excitement and anticipation. We have had a great winter training and they are ready to see how that speed on the erg translates to speed on the water. I am super pleased with their effort and focus this week during training and I know they are ready to get that first race under their belt."
