LOUISVILLE, Ky. - - The University of Louisville's incoming freshman class has been ranked the 16th best in the nation according to Tennis Recruiting Network.
"I am honored that our recruiting class was ranked the 16th best recruiting class in the country," said U of L head coach Rex Ecarma. "I believe that Van Domrongsri, Michael Lippens, Sebastian Stiefelmeyer, and Chris Simich are all talented players and they all also have great work-ethics. I really feel these guys will improve greatly in our development system and represent U of L in a first class way."
In 2011, the Cardinals posted an 18-12 overall record and earned their second straight BIG EAST Conference Championship. Louisville also reached the NCAA for the third consecutive season and was ranked as high as No. 12 while appearing in the top 25 in 10 ranking periods. The Cards graduate four seniors: Alejandro Calligari, Austen Childs, Simon Childs and Viktor Maksimcuk from that team.
