
Men's Golf Finishes 13th at USF Invitational

Dade City, Fla. - The University of Louisville men's golf team wrapped up play at the USF Invitational with a final round 294 and a 13th place finish at 18-over 882, 44 strokes behind Middle Tennessee State, who mastered the par-72, 7,060-yard Lake Jovita Golf Club South Course over the weekend in Tampa, Fla.
Louisville played its second tournament of the spring and shot 291-297-294=882. Florida State was second at 857 and Florida Golf Coast was third overall at 864. Hunter Green of Middle Tennessee was the individual winner, carding rounds of 67, 67 and 71 to finish at 11-under 205 for the weekend.
Karsten Clements and Justin Dorward were the highest finishers for the Cardinals, posting 16th-place finishes. Clements shot 71-71-73=215, while Dorward cared 70-73-72=215. Chris Malec tied for 49th overall, shooting 74-75-74=223, while Chris Biuso shot 76-78-75=229 to tie for 76th. Charlie Macneal tied for 83rd with his 77-78-75=230.
Louisville returns to action at the Furman Intercollegiate on March 18-20 in Greenville, S.C.
