
Cardinals Conclude Day One of Furman Intercollegiate

Greenville, S.C. - The University of Louisville men's golf team shot a 21-over 309 in the opening round of the Furman Intercollegiate held at the par-72 6,994-yard Furman Golf Club in Greenville, S.C. The Cardinals sit in 21st place, 27 strokes behind leader Kennesaw State who turned in a 6-under 282.
Junior Justin Dorward led the Cardinals with a 3-over 75 and is currently tied for 40th. Charlie Macneal tied for 63rd overall after carding a 77 while Karsten Clements fired a 78 and is tied for 77th place. Chris Malec and Sebastian Szirmak both carded a 79 and sit in a tie for 93rd.
Junior Chris Biuso is competing as an individual and shot a 75 in the first round and is tied for 40th.
William Sjaichudin fired a 7-under 65 in the first round and leads the 124 player field by two strokes.
The Cardinals draw an 8 a.m. tee time on the first hole on Saturday and hit the links with Furman University and Chattanooga. Live scoring is available through www.golfstat.com.
