Louisville Men's Tennis Closes Play at Cliff's Invitational

The University of Louisville men's tennis team completed play at the Cliff's Invitational Sunday.
On the final day of the Cliff's Invitational, freshman Dante Terenzio defeated Furman's Robbie Aru 6-1, 6-1 while junior Andrew Carter topped Clemson's Juan Bolona 6-2, 6-1.
"It was nice to see Dante relax and get his first college singles win," said U of L head coach Rex Ecarma. "Andrew played very solidly and ended his weekend on a positive note. I want to thank coach Mat Cloer, the Cloer family and the Cliff's sponsors and residents for putting on such a special event. We will definitely be back next year."
Saturday, freshman Arren Carter beat Florida State's Jordan Kelly-Houston 7-6, 2-6, 6-3 an Florida State's Owen Long 6-3, 6-0. Freshman Felipe Nino topped Furman's uncan 6-7, 6-3, 6-3 and Carter defeate
"Saturday was much better," said Ecarma. "Arren Carter defeated a highly-recruited player for Florida State. Arren played mentally tough. I am also proud of Felipe Nino who defeated the number one player from Furman. These guys are learning to have better ball tolerance which is critical on clay courts. This tournament is so useful as we try to develop their game."
