Sophomore Robert Hall continues his blog on the eve of the 15th ranked Louisville men's tennis team's first NCAA Championship Round of 16 match. "Another great day here in Athens! Last night we went to the banquet which was very nice and the University of Georgia did a great job of hosting it. Probably the most eventful part of the night though was not the dinner, but was while getting ready for the dinner Andrew Carter was ironing his shirt and told Chidi Gabriel he would iron his too, so Chidi ran to get his shirt from his room. When Chidi returned Andrew turned around with the iron and sticks it on him and says, " Is it hot?" Chidi begins to freak out not realizing that the iron was turned off the whole time! Chidi is the only freshman on the team and gets pranked so many times he does not know who he can trust anymore, but luckily for him he is about to be replaced by a lot of the incoming freshman in the fall.
Today we had our last practice before the match tomorrow. Practice was great everyone on the team knew it is time for business and all of the pranks and jokes we play on each other ended once we stepped out on the courts. The day before a match in practice we do not drill or make any big adjustments it is mainly point play and competing against each other. All of the players wanted to cover every part of the game today in practice and did not matter how long it took whether it was Viktor and Austen who stayed after practice or a group wanting to get an extra practice in before the team practice in the afternoon. The team has done everything that needs to be done to be prepared for the match tomorrow and we are ready for the battle against Tennessee tomorrow. Wish us good luck tomorrow and if it anyone is around Athens, GA tomorrow around 3:00P.M. you should come out and support it would be very much appreciated. So until tomorrow this is Robert Hall signing off. Stay classy Cardinals!"
