LOUISVILLE, Ky. - - The University of Louisville field hockey team continued an impressive spring season April 10 and 11 at Trager Stadium.
"Of course the results speak for themselves, but what I am most pleased about is HOW we achieved these results," said U of L head coach Pam Bustin. "The team brought to this tournament the aggressive attitude they learned and developed while playing in Argentina, especially the importance of goal scoring. That combined with their shared commitment to conditioning put the Cards ahead of their competition. I can only hope that each team member will realize the high level in which they can play and make that our starting point in August."
On Saturday, April 10, the Cardinals outscored their opponents 14-1 en route to a 3-0 record on the day. The first two games of the day featured full-field play and two 25 minute halves. Louisville opened the day with a 10-0 win over Missouri State. Karah Nall led the team with three goals, while Rachel Hollenbach and Hayley Turner turned in a pair of goals each.
