University of Louisville lacrosse midfielder Katie Oliverio was named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll this week for her five assist performance against No. 14 Georgetown and three assist effort against No. 13 Loyola (MD), in the Cardinals' matchups last week.
She tied her own school record for assists in a single game with five against the Hoyas on Sunday, April 11th. She previously dished out five assists against Manhattan back on February 20th. Oliverio dished out her 26th assist of the season on Bergan Foley's 50th goal to spark a 7-1 second half run against nationally ranked Georgetown, totaling four assists during that stretch.
Oliverio and Foley connected for three goals during U of L's game against the Greyhounds on Friday, April 9th at the University of Louisville Lacrosse Stadium. Oliverio, a native of Silver Springs, Maryland, has eight multi-assist games on the season, including six with three or more assists. She also has five multi-goal games.
Katie is currently chasing the school record for career assists, currently held by Tara Restly, who had 36 during her two seasons on the lacrosse team. Oliverio only needs three more to break that record.
The Cardinals are back in action on Saturday, April 17th, when they host Jacksonville at 1 p.m. at the University of Louisville Lacrosse Stadium.
