As the fall season came to an end, we traveled to our last tournament in Fairfax, Va., on Oct. 23.
We started off the weekend with an early morning game against George Mason. The cold morning made out for a slow start for us, but we were able to end the game in a tie.
Next up, we faced George Washington, and we began to get into the swing of things, beginning to play our game. Right after the game, we suited up to play Penn State, which was the toughest opponent to face in the four-game tournament. We played tough and didn't let up even after being down to the Nittany Lions by three. We ended the game in a tie, 8-8, but knew we had it in us for one more game to finish out our fall ball season. The last team we played was Duquesne, and we were not going to stop. Hard play, on both the attack and defense allowed us to finish our Fall Ball season with a 10-0-2 record.
Even though we are done with our 20-hour weeks, this is not a rest time for the team. We will be conditioning numerous times during the week, with intense practice time with the coaches. Our hard work has just begun as we prepare for our spring season, which is just around the corner.
This week, the lacrosse team will be participating in a team building activity called 'The Program,' which will help build teamwork and communication. This is just a SMALL step in the road, as we continue on to the BIG EAST.
