POWELLS POINT, N.C. --- - The Louisville men's golf team concluded the first round of the Old Dominion/Outer Banks Intercollegiate at the par-72, 6,535-yard Kilmarlic Golf Course in fifth-place with a total team score of 5-under 283.
The Cardinals are 13 strokes behind East Carolina, who shot 270. The Pirates hold a six-stroke lead over second-place Liberty, who fired a 12-under par 276. Richmond is in third-place at 10-under followed by William & Mary at eight-under.
Louisville senior Karsten Clements is tied for sixth overall after firing a four-under par 68. Junior Chris Biuso was next in-line as he is tied for 17th-place overall after his first round score of 70. Junior Justin Dorward is tied for 32nd overall after shooting an even par 72, while Sebastian Szirmak is tied for 38th with his 73. Chris Malec is tied for 75th after shooting 77.
