Dashiell Advances to Next Round of US National Developmental Team

Emily Dashiell of the University of Louisville lacrosse team is one of 64 players that participated in the US Lacrosse Women's Division National Tournament and advanced to the second round of tryouts for the 2009-2010 U.S. women's developmental team.

The event, presented by Brine and the Heather Leigh Albert Foundation, was held over Memorial Day Weekend at Cedar Lane Sports Park in Bel Air, Md., and featured more than 150 players in the Stars & Stripes Division vying for spots for the U.S. team tryout.

The second round of tryouts will be held August 1-2 at the University of Maryland - Baltimore County.

The U.S. women's national team program is currently gearing up for the Federation of International Lacrosse World Cup, which will be held from June 18-27 in the Czech Republic.
