
Lacrosse Set to Host Longwood

The University of Louisville lacrosse team takes it's 3-0 record up against visiting Longwood Tuesday at 5 p.m. at U of L Lacrosse Stadium.
The Cardinals have a stingy defense with the nation's leading goalkeeper in net. U of L senior Jen Heup is ranked No. 1 in the nation in goals against average and save percentage for the games through March 1. Helping the cause is U of L's Kelsey McDowell, who leads the nation in draw controls average of 5.50. Ashley King's average of 3.50 caused turnovers per game ranks fourth in Division I.
As a team, U of L ranks first in the NCAA in caused turnovers (21.00) and ground balls (35.00) and boasts the third best defense, allowing 5.33 goals per game.
The Cardinals aren't all defense, as they are also ranked in scoring margin (+8.00) and are led by Lianne Bobal's 12 goals and two assists.
Laxpower.com ranks U of L 25th in the nation with a ranking of No. 37 in strength of schedule.
The Longwood Lancers are 2-2 and are led by Karli Brentlinger who has notched 16 goals and has 16 draw controls.
