
Men's Golf Sits in Second Place at Rio Pinar

ORLANDO, Fla. - Thanks to a strong performance from freshmen Riley Wheeldon and Justin Dorward, the University of Louisville men's golf team is in second place after two rounds of play at the Rio Pinar Invitational on Monday. Wheeldon posted a 4-under 68 in the second round.
Play at the three-round, 21-team event at the Rio Pinar Country Club will conclude Tuesday morning. The third round will begin at 8:30 a.m. The tournament is open to the public.
Central Florida (571, -5) leads the event, just four- strokes ahead of second-place Louisville. UCF registered a 294 (+6) in the opening round and followed that up with an 11-under 277 in the afternoon.
The Cardinals have four players in the top 25 after the first two rounds. Wheeldon is currently tied for third place after his 73-68=141, while Dorwards sits in a tie for seventh at 69-74=143.
Senior Adam Hadwin and freshman Connor Arendell are tied for 24th at 146, while freshman Chris Biuso is 77th after firing 77-76=153.
