Head coach Kellie Young took her 2009 University of Louisville lacrosse team out for a test drive today in an exhibition game at the adidas cup in Florida today.
The Cardinals, picked sixth in the BIG EAST, also helped a clinic for girls as part of the adidas cup.
The Cardinals were edged by Brown University 14-10, although U of L held a 10-6 lead as the young squad debuted the season.

The Cardinals return the nation's leading scorer in Bergan Foley, who averaged 4.07 goals per game. Joining Foley among the nation's tope players in 2008 was first-year midfielder Emily Dashiell, who ranked 11th nationally in draw controls with 3.38 per game.
As a team, the Cardinals ranked fifth in the nation in scoring offense with 15.17 goals per game and fifth nationally in draw controls with 15.06 per contest. Louisville was also sixth in scoring margin at +5.44, seventh in caused turnovers with 10.75 per game and ninth in win percentage by winning 75 percent of their games in 2008.
