Ashley King Named to IWLCA Academic Honor Roll

The IWLCA has recognized 442 student-athletes at 162 institutions for their excellence in the classroom during the 2008-09 academic year. All student-athletes were nominated by their institutions and have attained at least junior standing academically. Nominees considered had a GPA of at least 3.5 or were in the top 10 percent of their squad. For the Cardinals, team captain Ashley King made the prestigious list.

As a junior, she had 42 ground balls and 27 caused turnovers. A transfer from UMass, King was named Co-Rookie of the Year last year for the Cardinals.
