Louisville Lacrosse Signees Hynes, Oliverio Named US Lacrosse All-Americans

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - University of Louisville lacrosse signees Kayleigh Hynes and Katie Oliverio have been named to the 2008 US Lacrosse Girls' High School All-America Team.
Hynes, a midfielder from Brentwood, Tenn., was a first team selection after completing her prep career at Ravenwood High School. She signed a National Letter-of-Intent with the Cards in April and will join the team next month as the fall semester at U of L begins.
"Kayleigh is a workhorse," said Cards' head coach Kellie Young. "I am not surprised that she garnered All-America honors and I'm so proud that she will be joining our Louisville squad. Her feisty style of play is going to challenge each and every one of her teammates to be better tomorrow than they were today."
Oliverio, a midfielder from Silver Spring, Md., was also a first team selection after closing her prep career at Georgetown Visitation Preparatory School. She signed an NLI with the Cards last fall and will also join the team for the upcoming fall semester.
"Katie has always been good, but she has excelled on the field since the day she committed," Young said. "There is a new sense of confidence in her play and an ease about playing the game. She is a tremendous addition to our Cardinal family and will impact our program the first day she arrives in the `Ville."
The All-American process is coordinated by the high school committee of the US Lacrosse Women's Division Coaches Council.
